Joe Palombo is the owner and head chef of Mirabella Cafe.
Joseph Palombo was born and bred in South Jersey.  He learned the restaurant business the old-fashioned way, starting at the bottom and going up through the ranks in the kitchen from dishwasher to executive chef.

His resume of almost 30 years in the business includes working as assistant chef at the Italian Bistros in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Christopher’s Supper Club in Mt. Holly, and Avanti in Marlton.  Head Chef at Mama Ventura’s in Voorhees, Filomena’s in Blackwood, Sfizzio - Voorhees.  At the Lamberti Restaurant Group he began as executive chef at Ristorante Lamberti in Cherry Hill, and stepped into management at Pasta Blitz and then Pasta Pomodoro.  He was also general manager at Sfizzio and Spasso Italian Grill, both in Old City Philadelphia.

Joseph has provided marketing and management consultation for the opening of popular South Jersey restaurants that include Due Amici Italian grill in Cinnaminson, NJ as well as the White Rose Café in Marlton, NJ and The Spaghetti House in Marlton, NJ.

Palombo thrives on the surprises that each day brings him.  “When it’s hectic, I think I must be crazy to love this; but when it’s quiet, I hate it.  Life is at its best when you are driving in an Italian traffic circle; all your senses are heightened.  Every day should have that sense of excitement, at least a little bit of it.”

Palombo lives in Marlton, New Jersey.  He eats, sleeps, and breathes Italian food except for an occasional, but total indulgence in sushi at Megu Sushi, Tony Bennett, and Classical Rock & Roll.
